Can a cosmetic product conceal acne and support its treatment? Dr Konrad Kwiecień from the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics believes it can. His project, “Make Heal Up – makeup that fights acne”, aims to develop an innovative hydrogel-based dermocosmetic platform for acne-prone skin that combines concealing and skincare properties while enabling targeted delivery of active therapeutic substances directly to affected areas. The project has been selected for the first stage of the new LIDER UP programme of the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR).
