The promotion of the university research offer is carried out by the AGH-UST Centre for Technology Transfer .
The scientific activity of AGH-UST employees is reflected by the number of over 1600 yearly publications in Polish and international scientific magazines and about 2000 papers delivered at conferences, out of which about 600 are published in international magazines.
Research and development are the most important university tasks. Research which is carried out the university determines the scientific level of the unit, prospects for staff development, and is the basis for educating students at a high level, consistent with the current needs and requirements.
Within the AGH-UST structure there are the University Computer Centre and the CYFRONET Academic Computer Centre with its powerful supercomputers (classified internationally on the list of a few hundred fastest computers in the world.) In the times of global aiming at information society, the fact that AGH-UST hosts one of the largest and most important nodes of the Polish part of the Internet is an important asset.
