AGH University of Science and Technology provides access to its network and the Internet through wireless network cards working in the WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n standard. Wireless network is available in most of university buildings. Access points are located in such a way that they cover corridors, halls and class / lecture rooms - places in which wireless access is particularly useful and functional. There are two networks available:
- AGH-Guest is a open network available to every AGH guest. It allows for limited access to the Internet (WWW/Mail/SSH) with a speed of 128Kb/s.
- AGH-WPA is a network dedicated for university employees and students. Access is limited and needs authorisation, with a speed of 2Mb/s.
