AGH University representation in the Student Council of the President of Polish Space Agency

Four students and a doctoral student from the AGH University have received nominations to the Student Council of the President of Polish Space Agency.

The AGH University students appointed to the Council are:

  • Zuzanna Dybcio from the Faculty of Geology, Geophysics, and Environmental Protection, field of study: Geoinformatics,
  • Hanna Grechuta from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering, field of study: Electrical Engineering,
  • Oliwia Pająk from the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics, field of study: Chemical Technology,
  • Zuzanna Wesołowska from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering, field of study: Electrical Engineering,
  • Grzegorz Zych, doctoral student, graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics.

The Council is an interdisciplinary advisory body of the President of the Polish Space Agency. Established in 2020, it is made up of 30 talented students from Polish universities, interested in space and the development of the space sector in Poland and worldwide. Students appointed to the Council stand out as regards their activity in student research clubs, student organisations, and space technology projects.

The Council's main objectives are to integrate Polish students, to promote involvement in space engineering projects, to educate young people (especially in the context of using the space sector in everyday life), and to initiate projects aimed at students.

The nominations of the new Council members were handed over by the President of the Polish Space Agency, Professor Grzegorz Wrochna, during the inaugural convention of the 5th term of the Student Council, which took place on 12-13 July 2024 at the seat of the Polish Space Agency in Warsaw. The convention also featured a meeting with Dr Michał Wierciński, Vice President of the Polish Space Agency, who discussed the prospects for the development of the space industry in Poland and the role of young people in this field.
