Graduation ceremony of the first year in the unique E3 programme

The joint full-time second-cycle degree programme in Energy & Environmental Engineering (E3) has been possible due to the long-term cooperation between the AGH University and the Shibaura Institute of Technology. The programme has been developed under the supervision of Professor Janusz Szmyd and Professor Akito Takasaki. It is conducted in English, meeting the growing demand for staff in the sectors of international industry related to energy and environmental protection. The E3 programme is in line with the strategy for the internationalisation of education implemented at the AGH University and the actions taken within the “Excellence Initiative – Research university” project. It is also something new and attractive in education, as studying is carried out under the double degree system, meaning that the person defending their diploma thesis will obtain a Master's degree from two universities, which distinguishes this field from other ones offered across the country.

There were more than a dozen of students in the class year that has just graduated. Some of them will receive their diplomas on 8 May at the AGH University, during celebrations related to the 20^th anniversary of cooperation with the SIT.
