AGH University and Jacobs to educate specialists for the Polish nuclear energy sector

On 11 July 2024, the AGH University has concluded an agreement on cooperation with Jacobs, a company delivering technical consultancy services in key nuclear projects in Poland and in the world.

The agreement entails cooperation on research, traineeships, workshops, and study visits for AGH University students and graduates.

The parties to the agreement were represented by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Rafał Dańko, and Jacobs’ Project Director in the Nuclear Industry in Poland, Gareth Vaughan.

“The cooperation with Jacobs provides a number of benefits to our university, particularly in a field as relevant now as the education of our students on nuclear energy.  The company’s expertise will surely expand the perspective of those studying energy transformation. We hope that our experience in research areas related to nuclear energy will be a valuable contribution for the company,” Professor Dańko said.

“It’s an important event for us in Jacobs to sign a cooperation agreement with one of the best technical universities not only in Poland but also in the Central Europe, one that shares our goal of educating staff supporting the Polish energy transformation in the future,” Gareth Vaughan emphasised.
