On 24 June, the U.S. News & World Report published the 2024-2025 Best Global Universities Ranking with the AGH University of Krakow on the 3rd place in Poland. It is a rise by one position against the last year’s edition.
Among all classified AGH University fields of study, Mathematics got the highest spot. With the best rank in Poland, it is on the 17th place in Europe (out of 190) and 59th place (out of 500) in the world. Engineering at the AGH University ranked second in Poland (350th in the world), which translates into more than a hundred and fifty places up in comaprison to the last year's spot. What is more, the ranking takes into account disciplines such as: energy and fuels (307th place in the world), materials engineering (347th place), and physics (348th place).
Altogether, the AGH University obtained 45.9 points, making it the third university in Poland, the 305th in Europe, and 839th in the world.
The methodology of the Best Global Universities Ranking was based on the Clarivate academic reputation survey and bibliometric data from Web of Science. Thirteen indicators are used for determining the ranking list. Some of the bibliometric indicators are publications, citations, and international collaborations.
