We are pleased to announce that the AGH University has joined the European EURAXESS network, supporting foreign researchers and the institutions employing them in the field of mobility and career development.
The European network EURAXESS – Researchers in Motion has been operating in 43 countries since 2004. 9 EURAXESS Worldwide offices located outside of Europe engage scientists around the world to get to know European research and innovation market and facilitate collaboration with Europe. EURAXESS Poland brings together 13 Polish Institutions and the network’s activities in Poland are coordinated by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. Network members exchange knowledge and experiences to expand professionalisation of their activities. Membership in EURAXESS allows participation in European initiatives, projects, events and provides international networking opportunities.
The EURAXESS network is joined by institutions that offer individualised support to international scientists and their families regarding arrival, stay, and work in a host country. They organise various events and support foreign researchers through dedicated units such as the Welcome Point. The Welcome Point at the Centre for International Affairs of the AGH University offers specialist assistance and practical support for foreign researchers, students, and doctoral students.
Owing to cooperation with and membership in EURAXESS, the University will provide increasingly better support and development of scientific careers to international researchers. The activities of the EURAXESS network at the AGH University are coordinated by the Centre for International Affairs as part of the existing Welcome Point, an information and advice centre where international visitors receive comprehensive assistance and support when coming to our University.
