A group of several AGH University representatives participated in Field Experimentation Exercise (FEX) of the Polish Armed Forces which took place on 20-24 May 2024 in the south of Poland.

Participation in the exercise organised by the Ministry of Defence was an opportunity only for selected companies and institutions with innovative technical and technological solutions at disposal, ones that have the potential of being used on the battlefield.

The AGH University presented flying drones for mine detection, a small electromagnetic cannon, a reverse engineering station for printing parts of vehicles damaged on the battlefield, modern ceramic armours, high-tech magnesium-based foundry materials, software for detecting deepfakes, an airplane with photovoltaic cells, and electric motorcycle, and a robot that follows commands and is shaped like a dog.

The main purpose of the FEX was to test a new organisation model of the Future Task Force with the use of equipment and weaponry newly-acquired by the Polish Military as well as cutting-edge, groundbreaking technologies.
