AGH University Rector remains vice-president of the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Kraków

During the first meeting of the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Kraków in the new 2024-2028 term of office, new authorities have been selected. The AGH University Rector, Professor Jerzy Lis, has retained his position as the first vice-president of the Council.

According to the tradition and the provisions of the Council’s Statute, the position of the president is taken by the Rector of the Jagiellonian University, in this term by Professor Piotr Jedynak. The second vice-president is Msgr. Professor Robert Tyrała, Rector of the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow.

The meeting of the Council took place on 16 September 2024.

The Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Kraków is an organisation of rectors of universities based in Krakow and Malopolska. It is a group of people of science, professors on top positions at universities (rectors), who take care of proper standards in the education of students and doctoral students, as well as high level of research, and thus, the development of higher education institutions for the benefit of Krakow, Malopolska, and the entire country.
