AGH University students victorious at an international mathematics competition

The AGH University student representation has come back home with two first prizes and a distinction from the 31st International Mathematics Competition for University Students (IMC) which took place in Bulgaria.

The AGH University was represented by: Piotr Łukasiewicz (1st prize), Michał Warmuz (1st prize), Maria Pieczarka (distinction), Bartosz Fober. All four students are members of the Student Math Club at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics under the supervision of Dr Witold Majdak and Dr Paweł Morkisz.

The Bulgarian competition gathered 401 students from five continents. Each of the two competition days participants had to solve five complex problems, each worth up to 10 points.
