On 12 July, the AGH University Rector, Professor Jerzy Lis, had the honour to host the 2nd Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan and Poland, organised by the Perspektywy Education Foundation and the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP).
The event has seen representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation in Uzbekistan, university authorities, rectors, vice-rectors, and representatives of thirteen leading Uzbekistan’s universities.
The 2nd Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan and Poland in Krakow commenced with an official welcoming of the gathered guests by the AGH University Rector, Professor Jerzy Lis. Then, Dr Jacek Cieślik, Coordinator for Cooperation with Kazakhstan and Central Asia, delivered a presentation on the cooperation between the AGH University and universities in Uzbekistan. The foreign guests had a tour of the campus and visited the Student Construction Centre. The Forum made for a perfect opportunity to meet the representatives of Uzbekistan universities once again and reinforce the AGH University’s international relations.
During their visit, four more agreements on cooperation with higher education institutions have been concluded, namely:
The AGH University cooperates with 7 Uzbekistan universities as part of, among others, Erasmus+ mobility for studies between EU Member States or third countries associated to the programme and third countries not associated to the Programme (KA171).
