Ukraine thankful for help

The AGH University Rector Professor Jerzy Lis, Professor Igor Kotsan from the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics, Dr Dariusz Sala from the Faculty of Management, and Director for Organisational Affairs Jacek Szopa received commemorative diplomas for the university’s humanitarian aid to war-striken Ukraine. The diplomas were awarded by Professor Roman Dyczkowski from Dripro University of Technology during an AGH University Senate session on 19 July 2024.

From the very outbreak of the war, the AGH University community does not cease in taking aid measures (both financial and humanitarian ones) for Ukraine, especially for Ukrainian universities and academia. For example, 50 children of the Lviv Polytechnic National University employees will spend their summer holidays in the AGH Univeristy leisure centre in Łukęcin as part of an initiative undertaken by us recently.

Let us remind you may still make a contribution to a dedicated account. All collected funds are allocated for funding various actions for the support of Ukraine.
