Streszczenie
Plasmonic metamaterials have emerged as a promising platform for real-time monitoring of cellular behavior in organ-on-chip devices and cell culture. WE provide an overview of the potential applications of plasmonic metamaterials in bioengineering, with a focus on biomarker monitoring in organ-on-chip devices and adhesion monitoring in cell culture. We also outline the current challenges and opportunities for the use of plasmonic metamaterials in bioengineering applications, including issues with the design of high-performance optical materials and biointerfaces, and integration with existing technologies. Finally, we provide a future outlook on the development of plasmonic metamaterials for organ-on-chip devices and cell culture monitoring, with the potential to revolutionize the field of bioengineering by enabling real-time monitoring of cellular behavior and adhesion with high sensitivity and specificity.
