AGH UST support for Ukraine

In relation to the unprecedented Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, the AGH UST takes action to support the Ukrainian community. AGH University will make every effort to provide support to anyone in need.

Coordination Team for Support for Ukraine

The AGH UST has established a Coordination Team for Support for Ukraine with the chief task of coordinating and planning aid and support actions taken by the university.

Cooperation with provincial authorities in relation to refugee accommodation

The AGH UST has established cooperation with the authorities of the Małopolska Province in relation to the organisation of temporary lodgings for refugees from Ukraine. The university has shared a part of its housing facilities on the AGH UST Student Campus to the refugees. The distribution of individual spots remains at the discretion of the Małopolska Provincial Governor’s Office (Voivode), which coordinates the accommodation of people fleeing from war. The university does not assign spots in dormitories on its own, so all those interested in lodging should contact the Provincial Emergency Management Centre.

Support actions

The university is working towards developing a special form, which will be used to coordinate all aid and support actions of the AGH UST. The link to the form will soon be made available to AGH UST employees and students via email. The form will allow the AGH UST community to offer help and relay information on current needs.

Additionally, all those who wish to actively participate in support actions should follow the initiatives on the official government website: pomagamukrainie.gov.pl.

Continuing education at the AGH UST interrupted by war

The university is open to considering applications from students from Ukrainian universities who wish to continue their education in Poland. Currently, the Ministry of Education and Science works on comprehensive solutions, which will impact future decisions of the AGH UST on this matter.

Contact with AGH UST students from Ukraine

The AGH UST Department for International Students remains in contact with 130 AGH UST students from Ukraine. An individual email was sent to each of them with all the necessary information regarding the support offered by our university.

Financial support

University governance in cooperation with the AGH University Board of Student Government (URSS AGH) have prepared numerous forms of aid for AGH UST students from Ukraine. The most important include financial relief, exemption from accommodation fees in dormitories, and psychological assistance.

Rector’s letter and words of support for Ukrainian scientists

On behalf of the entire university community, the AGH UST Rector has written a letter condemning the Russian military aggression, which has been published on the university website. Moreover, as a token of solidarity with Ukrainian scientists, the Rector has sent letters to Ukrainian universities cooperating with the AGH UST, declaring readiness to provide all kinds of support.

Допомога Україні в AGH УНТ

 У зв’язку з безпрецедентною російською військовою агресією проти України, AGH УНТ вживає заходів з метою підтримки української громади. Ми запевняємо, що робитимемо все можливе, щоб надати підтримку всім, хто її потребує.

Кризовий штаб

28 лютого ц.р в AGH УНТ створено Кризовий штаб, основним завданням якого є координація та планування заходів допомоги, що здійснюються в нашому університеті.

Співпраця з воєводською владою у питанні розміщення біженців

 Науково-технічний університет AGH співпрацює з органами влади Малопольського воєводства щодо організації місць перебування біженців з України. Університет зробив частину житлової бази AGH УНТ доступною для тих, хто цього потребує. Він знаходиться в розпорядженні Малопольського воєводського управління, яке координує розміщення людей, що втікають від бойових дій. Університет не виділяє місця

безпосередньо, а всіх бажаючих слід керувати до Воєводського центру управління кризовими ситуаціями.

Допоміжні дії

Університет працює над розробкою спеціальної форми, за допомогою якої будуть координуватися всі заходи допомоги в AGH УНТ. Посилання на форму невдовзі буде доступне для співробітників та студентів AGH через електронну пошту. Можна буде подавати пропозиції допомоги, а також надавати інформацію про біжучі потреби.

Крім того, ми рекомендуємо людям, які бажають долучитися до заходів допомоги, слідкувати за ініціативами на офіційному урядовому сайті: pomagamukrainie.gov.pl.

Продовження навчання в AGH УНТ, перерваного війною

Університет відкритий до розгляду звернень студентів українських вишів, які розглядають можливість продовження навчання в Польщі. Наразі Міністерство освіти і науки працює над системними рішеннями цьогo питання, від яких залежать подальші рішення AGH УНТ.

Відділ по роботі з іноземними студентами підтримує зв’язок із понад 130 студентами AGH з України. Кожному з них було надіслано індивідуальний електронний лист із найважливішою інформацією про допомогу, яку пропонує наш університет.

Соціальна підтримка

Адміністрація університету у співпраці з Радою студентського самоврядування Університету Науки та Технoлoгії підготувала різні форми допомоги студентам AGH з України. Найважливіші з них: матеріальна допомога, звільнення від оплати за проживання у гуртожитках, психологічна допомога.

Лист ректора та слова підтримки українським науковцям

Від імені всієї університетської спільноти ректор AGH УНТ оприлюднив лист із засудженням військового нападу Росії.  Лист опубліковано на сайті університету. Крім того, на знак солідарності з українськими науковцями ректор AGH УНТ  надіслав листи до університетів з України, що співпрацюють з AGH та запевнив, що надасть всю необхідну допомогу всім, хто її потребує.
