Bronze medals for our handball players

Our players won bronze medals in the final tournament of the Polish Academic Championship in handball.

In the match for the 3rd place on the podium, the AGH University team defeated the Academy of Physical Education in Wroclaw 28:19.

The team was composed of: Aleksander Bejnar, Wiktor Dębski, Paweł Franczak, Marcin Górkowski, Jakub Grzybkowski, Bartosz Hardzina, Konrad Kisiel, Oskar Klamrzyński, Krzysztof Kość, Łukasz Kucharzyk, Patryk Kwarciński, Konrad Łuczyński, Stanisław Malinowski, Łukasz Maraszkiewicz, Michał Mizdra, Mikołaj Pietrzyk, Jakub Romian, Piotr Sądowicz, Bartosz Szpisak, Kacper Szydło, Szymon Wajda, Adrian Ziaja.

The team’s coach is Sławomir Karwowski.

In the final classification of women, the AGH University team ranked 13th. The podium belonged to players from the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice, and the University of Gdańsk.

The Polish Academic Championship in handball of women and men took place on 6–9 June 2024 in Opole. The organiser of the tournament was the Academic Sports Association of the Opole University of Technology. As many as 15 women’s and men’s teams selected in elimination tournaments competed for medals.
