Streszczenie
One of the biggest challenges astronauts and future interplanetary and interstellar flights face in space is radiation. Understanding the nature of all types of cosmic radiation (Galactic Cosmic Rays, Solar Events, and Earth's Radiation Belts) is crucial for planning successful missions beyond Low Earth Orbit. Studying the biological effects of radiation and principles of shielding allows for minimizing the risk of developing cancer, degenerative diseases, and other conditions in space crew members.
